Upgrade to not second tier

Hi admins,

This problem is now published in a peer reviewed journal as Problem 1 in this article.

Please remove "Second Tier" status from my problem, as it is now officially published. (I'd also like to remove "Second Tier" status from other my problems, but these are not yet published.)

Question about 'solving' something

So, I guess I have found two counterexamples for the 5-cycle double cover conjecture given in the garden (http://garden.irmacs.sfu.ca/?q=op/strong_5_cycle_double_cover_conjecture) and I am a little afraid to use the 'solved' option. Since no one has looked at/checked my stuff. What is the normal procedure for this? Thanks, Nieke (newbie)

Maintaining questions in a subject area

Hi, I'd like to create sub-areas in the Topology problem section. How do I do that, or does it require a moderator? I notice almost no activity on this forum. Is the "Open Problem Garden" project dead? Thanks for any information, -Ryan Budney University of Victoria
